Introduction

2013 will be the 14th time that the Club will host the Australian Open Championships. The first time it was held at the Club was in 1906 when it was won by Carnegie Clark. The 2013 Emirates Australian Open is part of a long Australian golfing tradition with which the Club is proud to be associated.

Club Events at the Australian Open

There are many functions and activities for members and guests during the Open. The Australian Open will be a great occasion at the Club and it is hoped that all members come and enjoy the experience. The events include:

Planning for the 2013 Open is well under way. The Course is being fertilised and nourished and the Club Open events are already being planned.

During the event, it is expected the Club will prepare:

• 450 lunches each day
• 500 extra meals per day across the Snack Bar, Club Bar and Fitness Centre Café
• A total of 450 breakfasts and 800 lunches in the Player Lounge

There is no doubt it will be a very exciting time at the Club!
