Summary: 18 Hole Par held on a Saturday. The leading four qualifiers play in the Governor’s Legacy Golf Trophy which alternates between Royal Sydney and Australian Golf Club.

History: Given by the Club in 1967, this trophy records the winners of the competitions held annually on Legacy Day until 1982, for the benefit of Legacy, the Club’s favoured charity. Since 1982 members have been invited to make a personal donation to Legacy during the week leading up to the Legacy Cup . A further donation is made to Legacy from the Club’s general funds. A sausage sizzle is held in conjunction with the golf. For many years after WWII a bar was set up for players on the 10th tee.
