From the President
As the President of The Royal Sydney Golf Club, it is my great pleasure to welcome you as a fellow member of our Club. I hope that in the coming months and years, you will take full advantage of the fantastic opportunities now available to you as a Royal Sydney member. As you may be aware, we are currently undertaking a landmark project to reimagine the layout and landscape of our Championship Golf Course, under the guidance of internationally acclaimed course architect Gil Hanse. Not only will this deliver a world class golf course when it reopens in early 2025, but it will help reinstate our property as one of the most important sustainable sanctuaries of native flora and fauna in Sydney’s Eastern Suburbs. The opportunities for sporting activity, both social and competitive, are wide ranging and include also include the 9-hole Centenary Course, 18 tennis courts (both grass and hardcourt), several bowling greens, croquet lawns, and squash courts. Within our iconic Clubhouse, you will find a variety of dining options, sitting areas, bridge rooms, snooker tables, and 18 accommodation rooms. Our Fitness Centre boasts a gym, a 25-metre outdoor pool, a heated indoor pool, child-minding facilities, massage rooms, and two studio areas for Pilates, yoga, and group exercise classes. Throughout the year, the Club hosts a wide range of events catering to various different interests which provide a great opportunity to meet like-minded members. Royal Sydney is a Club for everyone and I encourage you to take full advantage of all that our Club has to offer. As a Royal Sydney member, I am confident you will find much to love about the Club. Personally, I enjoy the sense of community and friendship among our members, the many happy times spent with my family, and the balance of tradition with the need to continue to evolve for future generations. I look forward to seeing you around the Club and hope you feel welcome and part of the Royal Sydney community, making many new friends and creating fond memories with your family in the years ahead.
